Childhood Immunization Program- Mandatory and Optional
This program focuses on providing vaccines to children to protect them from various preventable diseases. Mandatory vaccines are those that are required by law for all children to receive to attend school or participate in certain activities. These vaccines are chosen based on their effectiveness in preventing highly contagious and potentially serious diseases. Examples of mandatory childhood vaccines include measles, mumps, rubella (MMR), polio, diphtheria, tetanus, and pertussis (DTaP), and others.
On the other hand, optional vaccines are those that are recommended but not mandatory. These vaccines provide protection against diseases that might not be as common or as serious, but vaccination still offers valuable health benefits. Parents can choose whether to have their children receive these optional vaccines based on factors such as their child’s health status, potential exposure to certain diseases, and medical recommendations.
Adult Immunization
Immunization is not limited to childhood; it is also important for adults to receive certain vaccines to maintain their health and prevent the spread of diseases. For example, adults may need booster shots for vaccines they received as children to ensure ongoing protection. Additionally, vaccines such as influenza (flu) vaccine and pneumococcal vaccine are recommended for adults to prevent common and sometimes severe illnesses. Certain vaccines, like those protecting against human papillomavirus (HPV), are specifically recommended for adults based on factors such as age and health status.
Besides the above-mentioned vaccines we also provide travel vaccinations except the Yellow fever Vaccine. So, if you want to protect yourself and your loved ones from infections and viruses get in touch with us today.
